At this Enmore Road shop, you’ll find owner Kay Hwang’s sweet-and-spicy fried chicken with a glossy, scarlet coating. The crunchy fillets have a cult-like following and are served either bone-in or boneless, with spice levels ranging from Honey Soy up to Fire.
There’s also a behemoth burger that comes with chicken done in your choice of sauce, plus a range of lighter sides such as slaw, kimchi-flavoured rice balls and chewy, tteokbokki-style rice cakes. Plenty of soju and beer options help complement the spicy main event.
The Enmore Road spot is the sequel to the original Chippendale location, which was regularly forced to turn customers away after announcing its closure in 2025. That shouldn’t be an issue at the new location – this shop seats 40 diners (up from 12 at the previous spot) and the kitchen crew is five times bigger than before. In any case, the chicken is worth queuing up for.
